Abstract:
There remains room for improvement in the shapes of new battery and battery pack. This battery has: an exterior member including a first exterior portion and a rectangular second exterior portion and having an electrode group housed in a space formed by welding the flange portion of the first exterior portion to the second exterior portion, said first exterior portion including two recess portions having tilted surfaces respectively provided at a first side facing a first end surface and a second side corresponding to a second end surface; a positive electrode terminal provided in the recess portion of the first side; and a negative electrode terminal provided in the recess portion of the second side. The recess portions are provided at ends of the first and second sides.
