Abstract:
According to the present invention, a flammable gas within a battery pack is safely discharged to the outside from the battery pack, while suppressing breakage of a fitting connection part of a case due to increase of the internal pressure. A battery pack according to the present invention contains a battery unit (10) in an outer package case (2) that is composed of a first case (2A) and a second case (2B). The first case (2A) and the second case (2B) are connected to each other by having stacking plates of a first peripheral wall (4A) and a second peripheral wall (4B) stacked upon each other at opening ends. The first peripheral wall (4A) connects a first stacking plate (5A) that is stacked on the outer surface, while the second peripheral wall (4B) connects a second stacking plate (5B) that is stacked on the inner surface. The first stacking plate (5A) has plural arrays of reinforcement ribs (6) that protrude from the inner surface; the second stacking plate (5B) has a fitting part that is composed of plural arrays of slits or grooves into which the reinforcement ribs (6) are to be guided; and the first case (2A) and the second case (2B) are connected to each other by guiding the reinforcement ribs (6) into the fitting part.
