Abstract:
A battery protection circuit device is disclosed. The battery protection circuit device is connected between a battery and an electronic device operated by the power of the battery and prevents the battery from overcharging and overdischarging. The battery protection circuit device comprises: internal connection terminals and external connection terminals to be respectively connected to the battery and the electronic device; and a protection integrated circuit (IC), a field effect transistor (TFT) chip, and passive elements, which are electrically connected to the internal connection terminals and the external connection terminals. The battery protection circuit device further comprises: a substrate for supporting the protection IC, the FET chip, and the passive elements; insulating films formed on upper and lower surfaces of the substrate so as to cover the protection IC, the FET chip, and the passive elements; and via electrodes connected to at least one of the protection IC, the FET chip, and the passive elements, penetration electrodes penetrating the substrate and the insulating films and electrically connected to one of the external connection terminals, and a plurality of connection lines formed on an upper surface of the insulating film and electrically connecting the via electrodes or electrically connecting the via electrodes to the penetrating electrodes.
