Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a battery protection system, a battery protection method and a vehicle. The battery protection system of the present disclosure comprises: a fuse, which is disposed on a main loop of a battery; a contactor, which is disposed on a charging loop and/or discharging loop of the battery; a circuit breaker, which is disposed on the main loop of the battery; a current detection apparatus, which is used for detecting a battery current flowing through the battery; and a controller, which is in communication connection with the current detection apparatus and the circuit breaker, and is used for controlling the circuit breaker to be disconnected when the battery current is greater than or equal to the maximum allowable current of the contactor, so as to cut off the main loop. Therefore, when a battery current exceeds the maximum allowable current of a contactor, a main loop can be cut off in a timely manner by means of a circuit breaker, and the circuit breaker responds quickly, such that the main loop can be effectively protected, blind areas which cannot be protected by the contactor and a fuse are covered, and the possibility of an excessively high temperature and even fire and explosion caused by excessive current of a battery is reduced.
