Abstract:
A battery residual capacitance calculation device comprising: a current detection means that detects the charge/discharge current of a battery; a voltage detection means that detects the terminal voltage of the battery; a first residual capacitance calculation means that calculates the a first residual capacitance on the basis of an integrated value for the battery charge/discharge current; a second residual capacitance calculation means that calculates a second residual capacitance on the basis of the open-circuit voltage of the battery; a blend rate setting means that determines the blend rate for the second residual capacitance in accordance with the deviation between the first residual capacitance and the second residual capacitance; and a third residual capacitance calculation means that calculates a post-combination residual capacitance which is the weighted combination of the first residual capacitance and the second residual capacitance, using the blend rate. The blend rate setting means increases the blend rate in accordance with a greater deviation between the first residual capacitance and the second residual capacitance.
