Abstract:
A battery reversal connection protection apparatus and method for an electronic cigarette. The apparatus comprises a battery (100), a switch circuit (200), an alarm circuit (300), a discharging control circuit (400), and a load circuit (500). The battery (100) is connected to the switch circuit (200). The switch circuit (200) is separately connected to the discharging control circuit (400) and the alarm circuit (300). The discharging control circuit (400) is connected to the load circuit (500). The switch circuit (200) detects a power signal provided by the battery (100) and determines whether the battery is reversely connected. When the battery is reversely connected, the discharging control circuit (400) is disconnected and the alarm circuit (300) is on and sends an alarm signal. When the battery is normally connected, the discharging control circuit (400) controls the load circuit (500) to work. In the present invention, by using an MOS transistor in the switch circuit (200), risks in an electronic cigarette product with a replaceable battery as well as an accessory, caused by reversal connection of a positive electrode and a negative electrode of the battery is prevented.
