Abstract:
The objective of this invention is to obtain a battery system allowing a lithium ion battery to be heated uniformly in a short time without loss of power, and while suppressing a deterioration of the lithium ion battery. In a lithium ion battery unit comprising n (n ≥ 3) lithium ion batteries connected to one another in series, a circuit portion is provided to each lithium ion battery for increasing the discharge voltage from the lithium ion battery to the total voltage of the lithium ion battery unit or higher. A charge-discharge control unit selects from the lithium ion battery unit one discharge lithium ion battery, which is the lithium ion battery to be discharged, and causes the discharge voltage from the discharge lithium ion battery to be increased and delivered to the entirety of the lithium ion battery unit via the circuit portion, the charge-discharge control unit switching sequentially the discharge lithium ion battery to be selected from the lithium ion battery unit.
