Abstract:
There is a risk that some battery cells among battery cells connected in series constantly consume electric power, increasing an imbalance in the voltages across the battery cells, and hindering discharge of the battery system. If a second battery 21 has a sufficient voltage, a current control board 12 supplies operating electric power to a battery control unit 8 and a relay 13 via an external minus line 15 and an external plus line 17. Meanwhile, if the voltage of the second battery 21 has decreased, the current control board 12 supplies operating electric power to the battery control unit 8 and the relay 13 from a first battery via an internal minus line 11 and an internal plus line 16. A first current control unit 18 and a second current control unit 19 control the supply of the operating electric power in accordance with a decrease in the voltage of the second battery 21, for example.
