A battery temperature elevating circuit which is a circuit comprising an inverter circuit (1) to which a direct current electric power is supplied from a secondary battery (11) and a three-phase alternate current motor (2), and which can be installed in an automobile. The battery temperature elevating circuit is equipped with first and second terminals (T1) and (T2) which are connected to control terminals (CT1) and (CT2) for first and second switching elements (SW1) and (SW5), is additionally equipped with a switch control unit (12) for controlling the on/off position of the first and second switching elements (SW1) and (SW5) and a third terminal (T3) that is connected to the other end (P4) of a specific coil (L1), and is additionally equipped with a storage unit (13) which can store a back electromotive force generated in the specific coil (L1) by turning the second switching element (SW5) on and off while keeping the first switching element (SW1) in on position, and an electric charge control unit (14) which is arranged between a positive electrode of the secondary battery (11) and the storage unit (13) and can supply an electric power stored in the storage unit (13) to the secondary battery (11).
