Abstract:
This battery temperature estimating device comprises: an observer that sequentially estimates a battery temperature in a state equation led from a thermal circuit network model, on the basis of each of a detected current value by a current detection unit and a detected temperature value by a temperature detection unit; a setting unit that selects a temperature range including the detected temperature value, from among a plurality of temperature ranges set by dividing a variation range which the detected temperature value by the temperature detection unit can take, and that sets the upper and lower limit values of an internal resistance value of the battery which correspond to the boundaries of the selected temperature range; and a gain calculating unit that calculates an observer gain to be used by the observer, on the basis of the upper and lower limit values of the internal resistance value set by the setting unit.
