The purpose of the present invention is to provide a battery-type power supply device and a power supply device in which operation lifetime can be extended. This battery-type power supply device 100 is provided with: a housing 101 having a shape and dimensions conforming to battery specifications; a battery accommodation part 102 for accommodating a battery 108 inside the housing and having an inner positive electrode terminal 105 and inner negative electrode terminal 106 which contact the front/rear terminals of the battery; an outer positive electrode terminal 103 connected to the inner positive electrode terminal and provided on a front end surface of the housing; an outer negative electrode terminal 104 connected to the inner negative electrode terminal and provided on a rear end surface of the housing; a switching element 120 disposed inside the housing and interposed between the inner negative electrode terminal and the outer negative terminal, or between the inner positive electrode terminal and the outer positive electrode terminal; a drive signal generation unit 142 that generates a drive signal for driving the opening/closing of the switching element; and a control unit 141 that controls the drive signal generation unit 142 in order to generate a drive signal having an arbitrarily preset duty ratio of less than 100%.
