Abstract:
This battery is provided with: a bottomed cylindrical case main body having an electrode body housed therein; and a bottom section insulating plate (19) disposed between the electrode body and a bottom section of the case main body. A gas discharge port that opens when battery internal pressure reaches predetermined pressure is provided in the bottom section of the case main body. The bottom section insulating plate (19) has through holes, and an aperture ratio of 10-40%, said aperture ratio being a ratio of through hole areas with respect to the total area of the insulating plate, and a Young's modulus equal to or higher than 10 GPa at 25°C.
