Abstract:
A bead feeder (2) for a sewing machine, wherein a through hole part (9c) for receiving beads (B) is formed in the horizontal arm part (9b) of an eccentric motion member (9), and an eccentric motion is transmitted to the horizontal arm part (9b) so that the beads (B) can be inserted onto an insertion pin (15) after being directionally changed by vibration. Since the beads (B) can be directly sewn into a fabric (T) irrespective of the skill of an individual, embroidery decoration can be diversified. In this case, the beads (B) can be sewn into the fabric (T) while being supplied to a sewing machine body (1) in the process of sewing the fabric (T), the beads (B) can be sewn into the fabric (T) only at positions where decoration is to be applied, and lock stitch operation and bead (B) sewing operation can be advanced concurrently. Thus, a sewing technique in which stitches for sewing the beads (B) remain in the form of lock stitches can be realized.
