Abstract:
The present invention addresses problems with a bead mill that are associated with abrasion of a sealing member of a sealing device provided at a contact portion between a rotary part and a slurry, and adhesion of deposits to the sealing device. A bead mill apparatus for stirring a mixture of slurry and beads in a vertical cylindrical container, the apparatus being provided with: a slurry storage tank provided above the cylindrical container; and a slurry flow path through which the slurry flows from the slurry storage tank to the cylindrical container. A component for allowing the slurry in the slurry flow path to flow downward is provided in a rotary shaft. In addition, a component for suppressing a flow of the slurry is provided in the slurry storage tank. This structure obviates the necessity for a mechanical seal device to be provided in the rotary shaft.
