Abstract:
A beam combining device and a beam combining method for a Bragg grating external-cavity laser module. The beam combining device comprises a plurality of light-emitting modules (1, 100, 101-10N, 101'-10N') arranged side by side, and the light-emitting modules use a Bragg grating (16) to perform wavelength locking; output light of the light-emitting modules is incident to a beam combining element (3) after passing through a focusing optical element (2) for beam combining, and light subjected to beam combining is reflected partially and transmitted partially under the effect of a light splitting element (4), a part of the light is incident into a dispersion element (5) at a diffraction angle of the dispersion element (5), forms parallel light under the effect of a conversion optical element (6), and finally forms, on an image acquisition mechanism (7), blocks of the light beams of corresponding wavelengths of the light-emitting modules (1, 100, 101-10N, 101'-10N'); and whether the wavelengths of the corresponding light-emitting modules (1, 100, 101-10N, 101'-10N') are locked is determined by determining whether there is a deviation between preset blocks and the blocks formed by the light emitting modules (1, 100, 101-10N, 101'-10N') on the image acquisition mechanism (7), effectively solving the problem of low beam quality of the beam combining device due to the fact that the existing beam combining device having multiple light-emitting modules cannot determine and detect the locked wavelengths. The beam combining device is simple in structure, quick in determination and detection, and easy to adjust.
