Abstract:
Provided are: a small-sized beam converting optical system which has a high magnification; and a light source device. A beam converting optical system (20) according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with a first optical element (21) and a second optical element (22). The first optical element (21) is composed of a cylindrical lens that has a first optical surface (211) and a second optical surface (212). The first optical surface (211) has a positive refractive power. The second optical element (22) is composed of a cylindrical lens that has a third optical surface (221) and a fourth optical surface (222). The third optical surface (221) has a negative refractive power. This beam converting optical system has a light collection region (50), where laser light beams (30) are collected, between the first optical element (21) and the second optical element (22).
