Abstract:
Disclosed are a beam correspondence capacity reporting method and apparatus. In the method, a terminal device determines, according to first determination information and a first determination condition, whether the terminal device itself has a beam correspondence capacity; if so, and when a beam intensity of a downlink receiving beam is not less than a first intensity threshold, the terminal device determines an uplink transmitting beam by means of the beam correspondence capacity, and transmits first communication information by means of the uplink transmitting beam; and when the terminal device receives n transmission requests for the first communication information, the terminal device executes a detachment operation, and reports first capability information in a process of re-accessing a base station, so as to indicate that the terminal device itself does not have the beam correspondence capacity, such that the beam correspondence capacity of the terminal device is measured; and where it is determined that the terminal device does not have the beam correspondence capacity, active reporting is carried out, such that the phenomenon of transmitting information by means of an unsuitable transceiving beam pair when the terminal device no longer has the beam correspondence capacity is prevented.
