Abstract:
Provided is a beam forming antenna with which it is possible to perform beam directivity direction control with increased control resolution. The beam forming antenna is provided with a matrix circuit including a plurality of final output terminals, and a plurality of antenna elements respectively connected to the plurality of final output terminals. The matrix circuit is provided with a first sub-matrix, a second sub-matrix, and an adder which combines an output of the first sub-matrix and an output of the second sub-matrix. Selected signals are input via a plurality of input terminals of the first sub-matrix or a plurality of input terminals of the second sub-matrix, whereby signals having a predetermined inter-output terminal phase difference are output to the plurality of final output terminals. The inter-output terminal phase difference has different values depending on the selected input terminals.
