Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a beam switching method, comprising: in the case of communicating with a terminal by means of a first beam and needing to switch to a second beam, sending indication information to the terminal for indicating that the terminal evaluates a channel corresponding to the second beam; receiving an evaluation result, reported by the terminal, for the channel corresponding to the second beam; and determining, according to the evaluation result, whether to switch to the second beam to communicate, by means of the second beam, with the terminal. According to the present disclosure, in the case of communicating with a terminal by means of a first beam and needing to switch to a second beam corresponding to a channel which is corresponding to the second beam, a base station can send indication information to the terminal for indicating that the terminal evaluates the channel corresponding to the second beam, reports an evaluation result, and determines, according to the evaluation result, whether to switch to the second beam to communicate, by means of the second beam, with the terminal, thereby facilitating avoidance of a communication problem caused by switching, in the case that the channel corresponding to the second beam is occupied, to the second beam.
