Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of communications. Provided are a beamforming method and device, by which a terminal does not need to give a feedback when a weight of the beamforming of an antenna array is configured, and accordingly, the real-time performance of the beamforming can be improved. The specific solution comprises: an access network device computes a frequency response of an uplink channel; compute model parameters in a frequency response mathematical model of channels according to the frequency response of the uplink channel and frequency channel numbers of uplink subcarriers, the model parameters having reciprocity on the frequency channel numbers of the uplink subcarriers and frequency channel numbers of downlink subcarriers; construct a frequency response of a downlink channel according to the model parameters, the frequency response mathematical model of the channels and the frequency channel numbers of the downlink subcarriers; compute a weight of the beamforming of the frequency channel numbers of the downlink subcarriers according to the frequency response of the downlink channel; and perform beamforming on the antenna array according to the weight, the antenna array being a dual-polarized antenna array or a single-polarized antenna array. The embodiments of the present application are used for beamforming.
