Abstract:
The present application relates to the field of communications, and in particular relates to beamforming training technology. In a beamforming training method, an initiator has N antennas; in an ISS process, first SSW frames are transmitted in different sector directions by using each of m antennas in sequence, wherein m is not less than 1, and is less than or equal to N; in an RSS process, M antennas are used to omnidirectionally receive second SSW frames in parallel (i.e. simultaneously), and the second SSW frames are transmitted, by a responder, in different sector directions, wherein each second SSW carries information for indicating a first SSW frame having the best quality in the ISS process, and the M antennas at least include the m antennas; and an optimal transmit beam in the ISS process is determined according to the received second SSW frames. It can be seen that, in the RSS process of the present application, the initiator uses a multi-antenna parallel receiving mode, wherein same can reduce the time consumption and improve the efficiency compared with the existing multi-antenna sequential scanning (receiving) mode.
