Abstract:
The invention relates to a bearing assembly having a bearing ring for rotatably supporting a shaft with respect to a housing and to a method for avoiding wear of an inner coating of a bearing ring. Embodiments of the invention relate to a bearing assembly (100) having a bearing ring (110) for rotatably supporting a shaft (120) with respect to a housing (130). The bearing ring (110) is movably connected to the housing (130). A load applied to the bearing ring (110) by the shaft thus can be distributed along a circumference of the bearing ring (110). The bearing assembly (100) comprises a control device (150), which is designed to provide a control signal, wherein the control signal causes a rotation of the bearing ring (110) in relation to the housing (130).
