Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a bearing device and machine tool spindle apparatus which make it possible to contactlessly and accurately measure the radial direction displacement of a rotating member when supporting the rotating member with rolling bearings, without positioning a measurement unit near the rotating member. This bearing device supports the rotating member in a fixed member with rolling bearings interposed therebetween, and is equipped with a displacement measurement unit which measures the rotating member radial direction displacement in the periphery of the rolling bearings by supplying a compressed gas to a measurement target gap between the rotating member and the fixed member.
