Abstract:
The present invention provides a detection method for detecting the state of a bearing device including tapered roller bearings, the detection method comprising: applying an AC voltage to an electric circuit comprising an outer member, an inner member, and a plurality of rolling bodies while a certain load is applied to the bearing device; measuring the impedance and the phase angle of the electric circuit while the AC voltage is applied thereto; and using a calculation formula corresponding to the electric circuit to calculate, on the basis of the impedance and the phase angle, an oil film thickness and a metal contact ratio between the inner member and the plurality of rolling bodies or between the inner member and at least one of the plurality of rolling bodies.
