Abstract:
The present invention provides a bearing structure for a wheel and an attachment structure therefor such that the precision of the flatness of an abutting surface of a counterpart member after mounting has less of an influence on the precision of the shape of an external member and such that deformation of a vehicle mounting flange has less of an influence on the circularity of the outer running surface of the external member, thereby ensuring precision and prolonging the service life of the bearing. A plurality of bolt insertion holes (14) are formed in a vehicle body mounting flange (5b) of the external member (5), and an abutting surface (16) that abuts a vehicle body side member in the vicinity of each of the bolt insertion holes (14) is formed protruding with a step (δ) from a side surface (5c) on the inner side. The inner diameter (⌀E) of the abutting surface (16) is made the opening diameter of the corresponding bolt insertion hole (14), the outer diameter (⌀F) is set to 1.4 to 1.7 times the outer diameter of a fixing bolt, and the step (δ) of the abutting surface (16) is set to 0.03 mm or more. Thereby, it is possible to minimize the influence of deformation of the vehicle body mounting flange (5b) on the circularity of the outer running surface (5a) of the external member (5).
