Abstract:
The bearing device (1) for wheels with auxiliary power device comprises a wheel bearing (2) and an auxiliary power device (3). The auxiliary power device (3) is a direct drive type comprising: a stator (18) attached to a fixed wheel (4) of the wheel bearing (2); and a motor rotor (19) attached to a rotating wheel (5). The whole auxiliary power device (3) has a smaller diameter than an outer circumferential section 17b and is positioned in the axial direction between a hub flange (7) for the wheel bearing (2) and a body attachment surface (4a) for the wheel bearing (2), said outer circumferential section 17b being a section pressed by a brake caliper (16) in a brake rotor (17).
