Title:
BEARING DEVICE WITH ACTIVE MAGNETIC BEARINGS FOR SUPPORTING A ROTATABLE BODY, IN PARTICULAR A ROTOR OF AN ELECTRICAL RELUCTANCE MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/178603
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a bearing device (5) for supporting a rotatable body (2) without contact, comprising a first magnetic bearing (9, 10) and a second magnetic bearing (9, 10), which is arranged at an offset from the first bearing (9, 10) in the axial direction (7), wherein the first and the second bearing (9, 10) each have at least two magnets (11 to 14) for magnetically supporting the rotatable body (2), which are distributed in the circumferential direction and are designed to produce a magnetic retaining force on the rotatable body (2) both in the radial direction (8) and in the axial direction (7), wherein the magnets (11 to 14) each have a first flux passage surface (31 to 34) facing in the radial direction (8), through which the retaining force can be produced in the radial direction (8), and a second flux passage surface (40 to 43), which is different from the first flux passage surface (31 to 34) and which faces in the axial direction (7) and through which the retaining force can be produced in the axial direction (7), wherein a magnetic flux (35) of the particular magnet (11 to 14) passes both through the first and through the second flux passage surface (31 to 34, 40 to 43).
