Abstract:

Ridges (4b) extending in the circumferential direction are formed on a bearing alloy layer (4) constituting a sliding bearing (2), and let (W) equal a shape error based on manufacturing errors and assembling errors of a rotary shaft (3) and the sliding bearing (2), h the height of the ridges and p the axial pitch of the ridges. The shape error (W), height h of the ridges and axial pitch p are set in the following ranges: 2 h 10.... (1), 1 W 8.... (2), h 4W/3+14/3.... (3), 50 p 600.... (4), p -250h/3+3250/3.... (5). The unit of h, p and W is 'mu'm. Owing to these levels set, a high abrasion resistance can be obtained even when an overlaying layer is not provided on the inner circumferential surface of the bearing alloy layer (4).
