Abstract:
A bearing device comprises a rolling bearing (16) having an outer ring (16a), an inner ring (16b), and rolling elements (16c) disposed between these both rings; a temperature sensor (TS) for measuring the temperature in the rolling bearing; and a lubricating unit (22). The lubricating unit supplies a lubricating oil to the rolling bearing at a rate according to the temperature detected by the temperature sensor. Thereby, the bearing device having a sufficiently long life even under the high-speed rotating conditions can be provided. The bearing device can be suitably used for main spindles for machine tools.
