Abstract:
A bearing device having an outer ring (11), an inner ring (12), rolling bodies
(13) arranged between both rings, and a seal (15) attached to either the outer
ring or the inner ring and extending toward the other. Because a temperature sensor
(TS) is attached to the seal, the temperature of the seal directly in contact with
a rotating ring can be directly measured. Accordingly, a sudden rise in the temperature
measured by the sensor may indicate a possible occurrence of trouble of some kind,
so that necessary action, such as an immediate stop of a device using the bearing
device, can be taken before a distinct trouble actually occurs.
