Abstract:
Provided are a bearing retainer having excellent strength in weld portions thereof, an injection molding mold used in the manufacture thereof, and a method for manufacturing a bearing retainer using said mold. A bearing retainer 1 is an annular bearing retainer made from resin, which can be obtained by injection molding using a mold for a bearing retainer having variable volume resin-rich areas, and is provided with a plurality of pocket portions 5 for retaining rolling elements, pillar portions 4 positioned between each of the pocket portions 5, and two ring portions 2, 3 securing the pillar portions 4 on both sides in the axial direction, wherein at least one of the ring portions has weld lines (weld portions 8) in one location or a plurality of locations in the circumferential direction, and the weld lines have a convex shape to one side in the circumferential direction.
