Abstract:
In the present invention, by means of compression molding a partially diffused alloy steel powder and then sintering, a sintered metal element (10') is formed, and by means of plastic working of the sintered metal element (10'), a raceway surface (2) is formed, producing a bearing ring (1). At least the risk volume of the bearing ring (1) is considered a predicted volume, and the square root (√areamax) of the envelope area of the largest pore estimated to be present in at least the predicted volume is set to be less than 50 μm. As a result, provided is a roller bearing that, while being low in cost, has an increased rolling fatigue life.
