Abstract:
A bearing section waterproof structure of a vertical motor formed in a semi-permanent seal structure by a non-contact seal of labyrinth structure, enabling the extension of maintenance intervals by abolishing consumable parts, and enabling a reduction in weight and size. The structure comprises a vertical motor shaft, bearings supporting the shaft, a bearing cover storing the bearings, a bearing retainer fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft and holding the bearings, and a bearing bracket holding the outer peripheral surfaces of the bearings and having the bearing cover. The portion of the bearing cover in proximity to the bearing retainer is formed in the labyrinth structure, the portion of the bearing retainer in proximity to the bearing cover is formed in the labyrinth structure, and a drain groove is formed in the axial upper surface part of the bearing bracket so as to be positioned under the labyrinth part of the bearing cover.
