Provided is a bearing suitable for a rack bush with which an impact on the feeling of a steering operation can be reduced. A rack bush (1) is accommodated inside a cylindrical housing (4) to support a load applied to a rack bar (5) while permitting movement in the direction of an axis O of the rack bar (5), and is provided with a bush main body (2) capable of expanding and contracting in a radial direction, and a resilient ring (3) fitted onto the bush main body (2). The bush main body (2) has a plurality of first and second slits (25, 26) formed in the direction of the axis O from end surfaces (23, 24) thereof. The first and second slits 25, 26 are arranged offset from one another in the circumferential direction of the bush main body 2, and form in the bush main body (2) a slit arranged region (280) in which the first and second slits (25, 26) are arranged, and a slit non-arranged region (281) in which the first and second slits (25, 26) are not arranged.
