Abstract:
A bed device according to an embodiment is provided with: a bottom section that includes a back bottom, a hip bottom, and a leg bottom that are coupled to each other; and a driving mechanism that can change the orientation of the bottom section from a supine orientation in which the back bottom, the hip bottom, and the leg bottom are aligned horizontally, to a raised back orientation and a seated orientation. The driving mechanism raises the back bottom relative to the hip bottom when changing from the supine orientation to the raised back orientation. Further, the driving mechanism rotates the leg bottom around one end of the hip bottom and stores the leg bottom on the rear side of the hip bottom when changing from the raised back orientation to the seated orientation.
