Abstract:
In a conventional bed having a slide section with which a portion of a mattress is
moved, the slide section is moved to either the left or the right but is always connected
to a bed body, and this obstructs work of a caretaker. Also, since the slide section
is movable only to the left or the right, the place such a bed can be placed is limited.
In this invention, a bed body is split into an upper bed (2) and a lower bed (3), both
upper and lower beds have frames (4, 5) and legs (6, 7) on which independent mattresses
are placed. Also, the upper and lower beds are independently movable in desired
directions and are separated from and connected to each other by a connection
structure (12) attached to the frames.
