Abstract:
This bed with a load detection function is a bed to which a load detection function for detecting changes in the load applied on the main bed body to detect the state of the user on the bed surface of the main bed body has been added. The bed has a main bed body configured so that an elevator support mechanism, which is for supporting the bed surface-forming section above a lower frame and raising and lowering the bed surface-forming section, changes the inclination angles of inclined movable arms with respect to the lower frame to raise and lower the bed surface-forming section and as a result, the positions of support shafts for the inclined movable arms move in the long direction of the sides of the frame. The bases of the load cells of a load detector are attached to the lower ends of the inclined movable arms and are interposed between the sides of the frame and the support shafts, which run in directions orthogonal to the long direction of the sides of the frame, and the load cells are configured to detect the load applied from the bed surface-forming section via the inclined movable arms and the support shafts.
