CLAIMS

1 Belt (1 ) for training and Improvement of the sport of golf characterized by the front part that has a superposed part (2) which is sewn, stapled or attached with measurements ranging from 15 to 17 cm In length and a width equal to or less than the belt (2 to 3 cm) into which a rod (3) made of plastic or a similar, or even biodegradable material, is inserted, through the groove created by sewing or gluing, whose length ranges from 65 to 85 centimeters with a diameter of 5 to 7 millimeters.

The elements that make up the Invention are:

• A belt that is attached to the waist and whose closure can be by buckle or through two different fabric straps that are hooked on contact (Velcro© type) and which act as a belt closure or buckle.

• A superposed part made of fabric, nylon or similar material, which is sewn, stapled or glued on the belt, with measurements ranging from 15 to 17 cm long and a width equal to or less than the belt (2 to 3 cm) and sewn, stapled or glued on it, with a hollow centre so that a rod can be introduced through the groove between this superposed fabric and the belt

• A rigid rod made of a plastic, similar or even biodegradable material, and whose length ranges from 65 to 85 centimeters with a diameter from 5 to 7 millimeters.

Description:
BELT FOR TRAINING AND PERFECTING THE SPORT OF GOLF

PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION

5 The present Invention, as expressed in the wording of this design specification, refers to a belt for the training and improvement of the sport of golf to which a part, usually, but not necessarily, made of fabric is sewn or glued with an embedded rod that serves the purpose of indicating the angle of rotation of the middle part of the body, primarily when performing the golf swing. The belt adapts perfectly to the waist of the golf player.

0

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present Invention has Its application in the industry of products for the practice and improvement of sport.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

There is knowledge of the existence of several rods to correct the position of the back to give rigidity, usually embedded in a corset, but the applicant is unaware of the existence of0 a rod attached to a belt to indicate the angles of rotation in the practice of golf.

The applicant, a recognized golf instructor, has devised a simple but extraordinarily useful product to indicate, warn and correct the position of the human body during the practice of the sport of golf.

b

The rod attached to the belt informs both the player and the teacher if the position of the middle part of the body at the time of the swing stroke is correct and, therefore, allows them to know the movements that must be corrected to obtain the perfect angle, as well as the correct position of the body at the end of the swing itself, which not only improves the0 technique of the swing but also avoids unnecessary injuries. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The proposed belt with rod provides evident advantages regarding the accomplishment of a golf swing with the correct angles and planes, which is ultimately the key for a correct and effective golf swing and the Innovation Is in applying a superposed part of fabric or similar, sewn, stuck or stapled to the front of a belt that is buckled to the waist, and through this part a plastic or similar rod is inserted to indicate the position at the time of training the correct swing.

The elements that make up the Invention are:

• A belt that is attached to the waist and whose closure can be by buckle or through two different fabric straps that are hooked on contact (Velcro© type) and which act as a belt closure or buckle.

• A superposed part made of fabric, or a nylon or similar material, which is sewn, stapled or glued on the belt, with measures between 15 to 17 cm long with a width equal to or less than the belt (2 to 3 cm) and sewn, stapled or glued on it, with a hollow centre so that a rod can be introduced through the groove between this superposed fabric and the belt

• A rigid rod made of a plastic material or similar or even biodegradable material, and whose length ranges from 65 to 85 centimeters and a diameter from 5 to 7 millimeters.

The present belt indicates when the player has the c!ub at the top of the back swing, and the rod marks approx. 45 degrees in relation to the upper part of the body and is pointed towards the floor, which Indicates that the hip or buttocks have rotated those same degree and that the left hip or left buttock is lower than the right, getting the proper position, because in the downswing the rod will fall away from the path, and to do so we turn the left buttock or left hip backwards to create a perfect transmission of energy from the trunk to the arms and from the arms to the hands projecting this energy to the club to hit the bail correctly according to the principle of transmission of centrifugal force that originates when loading the club on the backswlng to unload in the downswing.

5 DRAWINGS in order to facilitate the understanding of this design specification, a set of drawings is attached, consisting of the elements that make up the belt for golf practice, as well as various drawings that demonstrate its use and usefulness:

0

• Figure 1 Shows the belt, the superposed part, rod and buckle

• Figure 2- Shows the insertion of the rod in the superposed part

• Figure 3 - Shows a player with the belt placed in Initial position, with the superposed part in the front and the rod embedded in It, placed with the ball and ready to make a golf swing.

• Figure 4 and 5 - Show the player with the club at the top of the back swing and we can see how the rod marks approx. 45 degrees with respect to the upper part of the body.

• Figure 8 and 7 - Show the downswing where the rod falls away from the body.0

PREFERRED IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INVENTION

The proposed invention is a sports belt (1 ) that is attached to the waist of the golf player, and to which a part of fabric or a similar material is sewn, stapled or glued and a part (2)intob which a rod (3)is inserted in the groove created by the sewing or gluing, which protrudes at one end and indicates the position and movement to be made by the middle part of the body in reference to the lower part and the upper part in the golf swing. The belt adapts perfectly to the go!f player's waist like a normal belt and can be buckled (4) by means of a buckle or Veicro®-iype crimped fabric strips. When we begin the golf swing we see that the tip of the rod (3) on the left side, if played right-handed, or the left side, if played left-handed, protrudes and indicates the perfect movement of the middle part of the body as it is positioned at about 45 degrees at the end

5 of the backswing in reference the high part (shoulders), which will have rotated about 90 degrees, or the low part ( feet), which have rotated 0 degrees.

To help with the technical part of the game of golf, where the most important thing is to know how to turn on the backswing to be able to turn on the downswing, the present0 invention offers precise indications so that when raising the club the rod turns about 45 degrees towards the inside, which indicates that the waist or buttocks have turned those degrees, and what we do at the time of lowering of the club is to turn the waist or buttock (left for right-handed and right for left-handed) and we see how the rod falls away from the path going backwards from the body, and this way, the angles and planes of the golf swing take precedence throughout the entire golf club course for correct CLUB-BALL contact in the impact zone.
