Abstract:
The present invention relates to a belt transmission mechanism characterized by comprising: a drive pulley fixed to a drive shaft that is driven by a drive source so as to be rotatable forward and backward; a driven pulley that is rotatably supported; a toothed belt wound around the drive pulley and the driven pulley; and an auto tensioner that automatically maintains appropriate tension of the toothed belt through two tension rollers that are mounted rotatably around base shafts thereof at positions on both sides of a pulley center line connecting the center of rotation of the drive pulley and the center of rotation of the driven pulley, and that contact the toothed belt. The auto tensioner has a swing shaft mounted to extend in a direction parallel to the drive shaft through a point on the pulley center line or a point on an extension line of the pulley center line, and comprises a spring that is stretched between the base shafts of the two tension rollers, and biases the two tension rollers in directions toward or away from each other, along the roller center line. The two tension rollers are configured to be swingable about the swing shaft.
