Abstract:
Provided is a belt-type continuously variable transmission having a more compact torque cam device for generating thrust used to move a moveable sheave towards a fixed sheave. A belt-type continuously variable transmission for outputting motive power for which the speed has been changed by continuously varying the radius at which a belt is wound on each of a drive pulley and a driven pulley, and continuously varying the gear ratio; the belt-type continuously variable transmission being provided with: an output gear for outputting speed-changed motive power, the output gear provided on a rotating shaft of the driven pulley so as to be capable of rotating relative to the rotating shaft of the driven pulley; a piston for increasing the hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic chamber of the driven pulley by being moved towards a movable sheave of the driven pulley, the piston being provided between the moveable sheave of the driven pulley and the output gear so as to be capable of rotating integrally with the moveable sheave of the driven pulley and so as to be capable of moving longitudinally in the axial direction; and a torque sensor device for operating when the motive power transmitted by the driven pulley increases so that the piston is moved towards the moveable sheave of the driven pulley, the torque sensor device being provided between the piston and output gear.
