Abstract:
Provided is a bend correction method in which a steel pipe having a bend is placed and held in a state in which the bend faces upwards, and the steel pipe is pressed from above at a target load value by a pressing unit to straighten the steel pipe. The method comprises: (a) a step for measuring, during pressing, the bottom dead center load value Pk when the pressing unit is at the bottom dead center; (b) a step for measuring the amount of change Δδ between the bending amount of the steel pipe before pressing in step (a) and the amount of bending of the steel pipe after pressing in step (a); (c) a step for repeating steps (a) and (b) multiple times to generate a relational expression Pk=f(Δδ); and (d) a step for determining the target load value for the next press from the relational expression Pk=f(Δδ).
