Abstract:
A bending apparatus (1a) for bending a blank (2) is provided with first and second tools (3a, 4a) which are connected by a rotating shaft (5a). The first tool (3a) has a retaining portion (6) and a bending portion (7) and the second tool (4a) has a retaining portion (6). The center of flexure (P) of the blank (2) is arranged with a predetermined amount of offset with respect to the center of rotation (O) in the rotation direction. Upon bending, as no displacement of the blank (2) with respect to the tools (3a, 4a) occurs, it is possible to prevent the blank (2) from being damaged due to the displacement.
