Abstract:

A bending operation device 70 is provided with: a bending lever 45 supported so as to be able to tilt at an angle with respect to the longitudinal direction of an operating part 3 of an endoscope 1; a wire traction member 54 provided with a plurality of arm parts 54b displaced in conjunction with the tilting action of the bending lever 45; a plurality of operating wires 65a-65d for bending a bending part 7 provided to an insertion part 2 of the endoscope 1 in response to displacement of the wire traction member 54, the operating wires 65a-65d being connected to the plurality of arm parts 54b; and a plurality of pulleys 68a-68d for leading toward the plurality of arm parts 54b so that the plurality of operating wires 65a-65d are substantially parallel when the bending lever 45 in which the bending part 7 is substantially straight is in a neutral position.
