Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a bending tube for an endoscope, the bending tube having a structure that achieves a further reduction in diameter by the simplification of the bending mechanism and reduction in the number of components, and that also allows the final bent shape to assume a desired bent shape while being operated such that the bending path of the front end during a bending operation follows a desired path. To achieve this objective, this bending tube for an endoscope comprises: a first ring member 21 and a second ring member 22 that are arranged, with a predetermined distance therebetween, in order from the front end side toward the base end side in a direction along the longitudinal axis Ax; a first tube-shaped member 41 that forms a first ring unit 31 by coupling the first ring member and the second ring member; a third ring member 23 and a fourth ring member 24 that are arranged in order, with a predetermined distance therebetween, more toward the base end side than the second ring member; a second tube-shaped member 42 that forms a second ring unit 32 by coupling the third ring member and the fourth ring member; and a third tube-shaped member 43 that couples the first ring unit and the second ring unit with a predetermined distance therebetween.
