Abstract:
A biaxially oriented polyarylene sulfide film excellent in thermoformability,
stability to film formation, and flatness which is obtained by improving the
low stress at rupture and elongation at rupture at 200°C of a biaxially oriented
polyarylene sulfide film excellent in heat resistance, dimensional stability,
electrical characteristics, and chemical resistance. The biaxially oriented
polyarylene sulfide film comprises a polyarylene sulfide resin composition
which has a melt crystallization temperature of 160-220°C and comprises
70-99 parts by weight of a polyarylene sulfide and 1-30 parts by weight of other
thermoplastic resin (A), the thermoplastic resin (A) being a dispersed phase
having an average dispersed-particle diameter of 50-500 nm. The film has a stress
at rupture at 200°C in the machine direction or transverse direction of
30-90 MPa and an elongation at rupture at 200°C in the machine direction
or transverse direction of 100-250%.
