Abstract:
Provided are a biaxially oriented polypropylene film excellent in terms of processability for element fabrication and high-temperature withstand voltage characteristics, a multilayered film including a metal film, and a film capacitor. The biaxially oriented polypropylene film of the present invention comprises a polypropylene resin as the main component, wherein at least one surface has an arithmetic average roughness SRa of 0.03-0.10 µm and at least one surface has a maximum-valley depth SRv of 0.10-0.50 µm. When at least one surface of the film is examined for surface shape by a noncontact examination, then the volume of valley-side spaces present in a 1,252 µm × 939 µm field of view and having a depth of 0.05 µm or greater is 100-10,000 µm3.
