Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a biaxially oriented polypropylene film that has high strength, low heat shrinkage, and excellent transparency, and is suitable for use as a film for a flat panel display, as a film for the manufacturing process of a display or the like, or as a film for a capacitor. Provided is a biaxially oriented polypropylene film wherein the value for the sum (EMD+TD) of the tensile modulus of elasticity (EMD) in the length direction of the film and the tensile modulus of elasticity (ETD) in the width direction is at least 4.5 GPa, the total haze is at most 1%, and the heat shrinkage rate in both the length direction and width direction of the film after 100 hours of treatment at 85 °C is at most 1.0%.
