Abstract:
A biaxially stretched polyester film for container molding substantially comprising ethylene terephthalate units and ethylene naphthalate units and having a refractive index in the direction of the thickness of the film of not lower than 1.5. This film has not only a high moldability when molding it into a can but also excellent properties for improving the taste of food, especially, the taste of food subjected to a retorting step, and is suitably used for the production of a container manufactured by molding, especially, for the production of a metal can.
