Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a polyester film which has excellent rigidity and excellent transparency, while being suitable for the production of a molded body, a label, an optical film and the like. A biaxially stretched polyester film which contains a polyester resin (I) that is mainly composed of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, wherein: the polyester resin (I) has a recrystallization temperature of from 160°C to 193°C as determined by DSC; 60% by mass or more of the polyester resin (I) is contained relative to 100% by mass of the whole film; the tensile elastic modulus both in the longitudinal direction and in the width direction is 3,200 MPa or more; and the total of the tensile elastic modulus in the longitudinal direction and the tensile elastic modulus in the width direction is 7,000 MPa or more.
