Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a compound having a potent activity of decreasing an intraocular pressure and having no adverse side effect on eyes, such as the irritation to eyes and the increase in aqueous humor proteins.
A compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein the definition of each group is as in the description), a salt of the compound, a solvate of the compound or the salt, or a prodrug of the compound, the salt or the solvate, which has a potent activity of decreasing an intraocular pressure and has no adverse side effect on eyes, such as the irritation to eyes (e.g., ocular hyperaemia, corneal opacity) and the increase in aqueous humor proteins, and therefore can be used as a highly safe and excellent prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for glaucoma or the like.
